The Vision

In Isaiah 6, seraphim call to one another in God’s throne room, “Holy, holy, holy.” God’s train alone is large enough to fill the room, and His voice shakes the foundation. The vision utterly changes Isaiah and is the moment he’s equipped for his calling as a prophet. God asks, “Who shall I send?” Isaiah raises his hand.

This passage of scripture has always enraptured my heart. It made me wonder: What would it look like for an entire community of creatives to raise the works of their hands to God, crying in a chorus of voices, “Holy, holy, holy?”

What would we make if we earnestly sought the threads of God’s hem and testified to what we saw? What if we kept reaching our hands upward to the light of the Lord’s presence and reflected it back to those around us? Creativity, then, isn’t solely about self-expression. It’s not simply about catharsis. It’s worship. It’s an offering to the ultimate Artist.

The Chorus of Voices Anthology is an effort to bring together diverse voices honoring the same true God through their creative works.
